Mission Projects Workshop: Shaping the Future of the Thematic Working Groups (Event organised by MIP4Adapt)

If you are interested in helping to create a space for CAPs to collaborate, discuss, and learn from each other, please sign up to the workshop and select to join the breakout group on CAPs on the registration form. We are hopeful that this could be a clear way forward to build a co-created space for discussion between CAPs. Please also feel free to share this with others who may be interested.

The Thematic Working Groups (TWGs) are a cornerstone of collaboration within the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change. They bring together experts from EU-funded projects to exchange knowledge, align efforts, and maximise impact. Each TWG focuses on a specific theme related to climate adaptation and plays a vital role in generating practical resources that support regional and local adaptation efforts.

This event will create a space to reflect on the progress and achievements of the TWGs so far, while also opening the floor to shape their future direction. It will be an opportunity to explore the vlaue of a TWG for Climate Adaptation Platforms – please come with ideas to make this happen! Event participants will:

• Learn about the work carried out by the TWGs to date.
• Connect with fellow Mission projects to explore shared areas of interest.
• Discuss how to strengthen collaboration and increase collective impact.

In the second part of the event, participants will join breakout groups guided by facilitators. These discussions will dive deeper into the future of the TWGs, identifying concrete opportunities for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and joint action that can accelerate adaptation efforts across Europe.
