Summary

The National Platform on Climate Change Adaptation of Italy, CLIMADAT, was promoted by the initiative of the former Directorate General for Climate and Energy of the Ministry of Ecological Transition (now the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security) and was created by ISPRA the National Institute for Environmental Protection and Research.

CLIMADAT aims to inform, raise awareness, and make available data, indicators, case studies, and operational tools to all citizens, promote and support local authorities in decision-making and planning processes related to climate change adaptation, as well as facilitate access to the documents of the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan.

Why the platform was established
