Introduction

One of the key ambitions of the Adaptation AGORA project is to empower communities and regions to design and implement effective climate adaptation measures. To achieve this, building capacity is essential—equipping stakeholders with the right skills, knowledge, and tools to respond to the challenges of a changing climate.

The Adaptation Agora project brings together the diverse capacity-building resources (CBRs) created in earlier project activities by compiling, synthesising, and making them more widely accessible. CBRs are tools and materials designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and resources of individuals and organisations for effective climate adaptation.

Relevant CBRs have been developed throughout the project and integrated into the full set of CBRs to ensure that the final portfolio captures insights and practices from across the entire Adaptation AGORA project. The CBRs included have been/are applied in workshops, training activities, and community engagement, and are instrumental in enhancing resilience by addressing vulnerabilities and shifting power dynamics.

The Adaptation AGORA project delivers a comprehensive and coherent compilation that mirrors the interconnected nature of climate adaptation itself. Stakeholders now have access to a richer, more diverse set of materials—practical guides, training modules, and participatory tools—that support them in co-creating transformative pathways to climate resilience.

In doing so, Adaptation AGORA continues to build a strong foundation for inclusive adaptation, enabling communities, practitioners, and policymakers to learn from each other and apply proven approaches across different regions and contexts.

Who would find this useful?

Practitioners and policy makers focussing on climate change adaptation and citizen engagement. The materials may also be of interest to those learning or interested in learning about new topic areas such as climate change disinformation.
